Madhya Pradesh Contractual Health Employees Federation will stage protest on October 4 at Neelam Park over long-pending demands.

Madhya Pradesh Contractual Health Employees Federation on Tuesday is going to stage protest on October 4 at Neelam Park if their demands would not be addressed by the government. 
According to the Federation’s state president Ramesh Rathor, around 15 employees were working in the health department under Swastha Mission. They protested earlier raising their demands in February. And government gave assurance to fulfill their demands by cancelling their strike.
Despite the cancelation of the strike, instead of fulfilling the demands of contractual employees, they were given appraisal after interval of fifteen years for terminating their services. As a result, over two thousand employees’ services were terminated. Around 70 cadre posts were removed by the department which led to unemployment of number of employees.
According to the sources, health department approved for the appraisal for removing the contractual employees. Under the appraisal, written and oral both the examinations were conducted by the department and it was said that the marks of the examination will be given on the spot. But up to the date the employees have not received their marks. Employees are filing RTI for getting their marks. Federation employees said that there were number of employees who were failed and after allegedly taking bribe they were passed. Regular employees were not given any appraisal. Therefore, federation says that there should be equal rules for each employee. They say that no strict action has been taken against the concerned employees yet. Numbers of health employees have been removed from their posts recently. In the wake of all this, Madhya Pradesh Contractual Health Employees have given ultimatum of staging protest on October 4 raising their demands to Director Kiran Gopal.
It has been said by the employees that if the demands would not be addressed by October 3 so they will be staging protest the next day at Neelam Park.
